My Name is Manoj, I am 25 years old. I stay in Vidya Nagar in Nellore. After Contracting Leprosy I kept distance from my friends thinking that they will take it differently and I used to stay away from them. After contracting Leprosy my life became a question mark? In this condition whether I will get married or not? I took leprosy medicine for 12 months and got cured of leprosy, but I was left with clawed hand. Government hospital doctor referred me to Damien Foundation hospital for my clawed hand surgery. At Damien Foundation Hospital my surgery was conducted free of cost besides this my food and stay were also free. After successful surgery my hand became normal. From a long time, I had a dream to buy an auto, the cost of an Auto is Rs.2 Lakhs and how would I afford to buy one. Damien Foundation supported me to purchase an autorickshaw and made a down payment of Rs.34,000/- After the down payment I paid the balance by regular EMI today I am the owner of an Autorickshaw. With the support of Damien Foundation, I got the autorickshaw after the purchase of Autorickshaw my marriage happened. Today I am father of a girl child, myself, family and parents are happy today. Earlier my friends used to isolate me after the surgery my hands became normal and now my friends have come back and now, we mingle normally.

My village community which used to isolate our family. Now they respect us because of my autorickshaw and my profession. I am thankful to Damien Foundation for changing my life, and also thankful to all my donors for their support.
